Meyer Eyecare provides comprehensive eye care for people of all ages in Blue Island and the surrounding Chicagoland area, including Oak Lawn, Alsip, Palos Heights, Beverly, and Evergreen Park.

Meet Our Doctors
Jill Ingelse, O.D.
Jill Ingelse, O.D. graduated in 1998 from the Illinois College of Optometry, she received the Feigenbaum Clinician of the Year Award. and then completed a Pediatric residency. She is certified in CogniViiSION™ vision therapy and serves as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for optometry students. She really enjoys managing strabismus, ocular disease, emergency care and dry eye management. Dr. Ingelse has always been a clinician at heart and is dedicated to her patients. She enjoys practice management and developing Meyer Eyecare and the Neurosensory Vision Integration Clinic to be the best they can be.
Daniel Ahrens, O.D.
Daniel Ahrens, O.D. is a 2014 graduate of Illinois College of Optometry where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He enjoys all aspects of optometry, but has a particular passion for disease management, pediatrics, and keratoconus contact lens fitting. Dr. Ahrens is certified in CogniViiSION™ vision therapy and serves as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for optometry students. In his spare time he enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with his son.
Jasmine Lopez, O.D.
Dr. Lopez, O.D. is a 2023 graduate of the Chicago College of Optometry at Midwestern University. During her academic journey, she contributed to stem cell research and gained extensive clinical experience through rotations in California, Indiana, and Illinois. She is deeply committed to her patients' vision and eye health, particularly excelling in dry eye management and ocular disease. As a first-generation Latina, Dr. Lopez is fluent in Spanish and is dedicated to providing care to the Latino community with the heartfelt motto, "Aquí para ayudarles!" (Here to help!). Beyond her professional life, she finds joy in hiking, gardening, photography, and actively participates in the nonprofit organization, Latino Outdoors.
Both Dr. Ingelse and Dr. Ahrens are certified in the CogniViision™ therapy protocol. We offer vision therapy through our Neurosensory Vision Integration Clinic.
